Something not working, or a question the app did not answer? Write to us. A person reads every message, and we answer in English or Thai.
Email: support@nitnoi.app
We aim to reply within two working days. Telling us the phone number you sign in with,
and what you saw on screen, usually saves a whole round trip.
Signing in
Nitnoi signs you in with your phone number and a six-digit code sent by SMS. There is no password to forget. If the code does not arrive, wait a minute and ask for another one: SMS to some networks is slow rather than lost. If it still does not arrive, email us with the number you are trying and we will look at the delivery log for it.
Starting a conversation
Nitnoi is invite-only. There is no search and no directory, so nobody can find you and you cannot find anybody: a conversation begins because one of you sent the other a link or a six-character code. Open the link on the phone you want to use, or type the code into I have a code.
An invite is for one person and stops working once it has been accepted. If yours has expired, ask the other person to send a fresh one.
Plans, billing and cancelling
Nitnoi is free, and free is not a trial: there is no trial, and the free plan does not run out. Every plan keeps as many conversations as you like, and every plan belongs to one person: what is translated for you counts on your plan, and what is translated for the other person counts on theirs. On the free plan, 50 messages and 5 voice or video messages a day are translated for you, counted across all your conversations together, and your account carries 20 minutes of live translation a month, charged to whoever starts it; your first 14 days are not counted at all. There is one paid plan, Plus, sold monthly or yearly, for one person or for both of you. It takes the daily limits off for you, raises live translation to 120 minutes a month and lets you unsend a message. Plus for both of you adds a second seat that you give to one person you talk with; they keep it for as long as you keep the plan.
Where you bought it is where you cancel it. If you subscribed inside the iPhone or Android app, the subscription belongs to your Apple Account or Google Play account, and it is cancelled there:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Nitnoi → Cancel Subscription. Or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Android: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nitnoi → Cancel. Or open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- On the web: Settings → See plans and billing → Manage or cancel, which opens your billing page.
Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep everything you have paid for until the end of the month you are in. A month bought with PromptPay never renews on its own, so there is nothing to cancel: it simply ends.
Bought on one platform and it is not showing on another? Open Settings → See plans and billing and tap Restore purchases.
Deleting your account
Settings → Account → Delete account, inside the app. It removes your profile, your messages, your voice notes and photos, and your shared lexicon entries. It is permanent and we cannot undo it, so the app asks you to confirm.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought from Apple or Google, because that subscription lives in your store account rather than in ours. Cancel it there first, using the steps above.
Privacy, in one paragraph
Translating a message means sending it to our servers. Voice notes and live call captions send audio the same way, for as long as it takes to transcribe and translate. Live captions are off until both of you turn them on, and the app says so on screen the whole time they are running. We do not sell data and we run no advertising. The privacy policy is the long version.
Reporting a problem or a person
Every conversation is between two people who invited each other, so there is nobody to report from a feed. If someone you invited is treating you badly, you can block them or leave the conversation from Settings inside that conversation, and you can delete your account entirely. If you need help beyond that, or you need to tell us something urgent, email support@nitnoi.app.
